I don’t play Golf and if I did I probably wouldn’t wear some dunks. Regardless, the Nike Dunk SB Low Blue Golf is a classic pair that I once owned, sold off, and now have repurchased.
These have a number of special features such as argyle print on the back of the shoe, brogue markings near the stitching on the blue areas and of course the golf flaps that velcro onto the tongue. The included laces are light green and navy.
With the navy laces in, these are an easy matchup. They look so much cooler with the green laces though! Unfortunately, this one change makes putting an outfit together tough. In this case, I went with my fallback light colored hoodie and a medium-light wash skinny jean. I feel like an all black fit would also work here, or maybe some kind of navy/khaki combination.
These definitely aren’t considered “heat”, but I’m glad to own them again. The nostalgia for me is real on these; I rocked them all the time when I had them before. I’m not sure what possessed me to sell them the last time around but I hope to not make that mistake again down the line! I highly recommend these as a low cost entry into black box territory for SB collectors.
Materials
The materials on these are great! The entire shoe is synthetic leather, and while it doesn’t compare to the leather used on some earlier box series, it is definitely on par for black box. This era in general contains some dunks with really nice materials. Some say the black box signaled the beginning of the end for Nike SB, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t have some classics from that time.
Fit
The Nike Dunk SB Low Blue Golf fits true to size. The leather is fairly pliable on these and the area around the toebox is roomy. Overall the sneaker is very comfortable!
